Hi, I am Jan'ta Ohanyere, the Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) serving the wonderful Minglewood Elementary School! This is my second year at MWES! As a teenager, my family fostered medically fragile children. From youth, I developed a passion for partaking in a child's ability to grow and express themselves through a variety of modes of communication. I was touched to see little ones unfolding into themselves. I have always believed that humans are social beings; therefore, we must be able to communicate effectively so that at least one other person understands who we are. I adore children! It has been my calling to integrate myself into the lives of those who need me as I am a genuine giver. I am a proud mother of two and a wife! I received my bachelor's in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology at Middle Tennessee State University and master's in Speech-Language Pathology at Tennessee State University. This will be my fourth year working in the schools as an SLP!
