I was born in Colorado but mainly grew up in Arizona where I spent my days working, running, and studying. I started my life after high school in the Army teaching and leading adults. Through many great changes, I fell in love with teaching. When I got out of the military I went to school where I received my Bachelor of Science from Austin Peay State University to teach with a cognate in mathematics. To reach students even further, I went back to school at APSU for my Master's in Reading. Most recently, I completed my Education Specialty in Accountability and Instructional Leadership from Trevecca Nazarene University.
I have one son who has grown up in CMCSS and as a parent, I fell in love with the school system, their hard-working staff, and the community. This has become my home and I am proud to inspire, teach, and help students and adults achieve their truest potential in our community. My door is always open.
